Our Aussies Families - We have some of the best !!!!
Hi Crystal! We got the lil' girl and love her sooooo much! She has already been to several beaches and she is not afraid of the ocean water at all, in-fact; she's really not afraid of anything. We call her our little tomboy because she follows Mason around everywhere and wants to do everything he does...it is soooo funny and cute. We ended up naming her Mia because she is good at Missing In Action, she is a mini Mia of Mason, and we are both soccer players and really like Mia Hamm...Mia seems to like to play with our soccer ball so it all fits pretty well. However, we did keep her middle name Sassy because there is not a doubt that she is:) We can tell she loves it here. I think she thinks that she runs this place...puppies. We love her and thank you so much for working with us.
You were great. I attached some pictures. Mandy is the one without the hat...I am wearing a hat. Now you have faces with the names. Thanks again Crystal,Eve and Mandy
Look at that conformation, Show baby !!
Hefele Family - Attached are a couple of pictures we took today, including one Jeff’s dad took of our whole family – including Jessie! (Notice the “welcome home Jessie” sign the girls put in her kennel.) Hope you like it. Thanks so much for your help.
Talk soon,

The puppies are doing great. They gained about 3 pounds each between their last two vet visits. They start puppy class next week and they are ready. they have learned their names and are doing well with housetraining. Addy (Amanda) is close to a pound larger than Hobie(Layla) and just built differently. One funny thing is we have two steps up from our patio to the grassy part of our yard. they both know how to do the steps, but Addy took longer to learn and still chooses to run around to the side where the ground slopes down and she doesn't have to do the steps. A few pics are enclosed. Thanks so much! Dana (Oh, by the way, Sydney likes to herd them) THIS FAMILY HAS TWO OF OUR BABIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Crystal- I just wanted to tell you what a wonderful job you are doing! The girls are wonderful- smart, responsive and energetic, but not hyper. We tend to see a lot of crazy puppies. they are excelling in their puppy class and look forward to begin Intermediate obedience later in April. Our vet has been very impressed with them also. Thank you so much! Dana Anderson -Update 2/26/07 on Babies

5/20/08 Hi Crystal! Got the AKCA papers you sent for Bono! Thanx a bunch! Bono's doing great! Cisco took a couple days to adjust to a puppy in "his" home but now really enjoys the little fellow - plays heartily with him several times a day. And thanx to Cisco Bono knows how to use the doggie door - and does all his poos outside. We're still working on the piddling thing, but that's to be expected, given he's only 10 - 11 weeks.
Had Bono to the vet today for his second worming and his shots. He''s up to 15 pounds alreay! The vets absolutely adore him and threaten to "hospitalize" him so they can get him to themselves!! He's is sooo adorable and sooo loving and sooo mischievous! All in just the right combinations. He certainly makes me laugh, and I've sorely needed more of that in my life!
Since our temps soared this week he spends the days indoors where the air temp is 72 degrees, thanx to air conditioning. He does the crate for a few hours at a time while I see clients and at night for sleeping.
He's so smart and is being loved so much! I'll send you some pictures soon!
Fondly,
Sandi
PS How are Bono's litter mates doing?
6/04/08 Hey Crystal! Sorry thes took me a bit to get to you. I've been quite sick with a sinus infection that wouldn't relent. I think Bono's officiall potty trained. He now sits on command, sits in front of his feed bowl until I release him to eat, plays fetch, and is progressing nicely on his lead. We're also working on down! He's so bright and so much fun. Hope you enjoy the pics!
Sincerely,
Sandi
Thank you Sandy for getting some great pics of Fresno/Bono This boy looks just like his Dad and as you can see he is Just Excellent!!! SO Handsome.
Hi Mrs. Sexton!
It's Mirelle Thomas. We bought Clovis from you guys a few weeks ago! I am so sorry I haven't emailed you yet with updates on Clovis! We have been pretty busy with the little guy, but it has been awesome!
He is such a sweetie and gets along perfectly with our other dog, Meg!! The two of them play tug-o-war and chase each other around the house. It is really great! He has already been to lots of places: early morning swim practice, the dog park, to my school, other people's houses, Petsmart, on many walks, etc. We are really working hard to get him socialized, and he just LOVES other people and other dogs! Wherever we go people just adore him! He is SUCH a handsome boy, and growing fast! We just had to buy him a bigger crate today because he has gotten so big!
I am also proud to tell you that he already knows 'sit' and 'down'!!! He is SOO smart. I literally taught him to sit in ONE day!! He is a super puppy! Also, he will be starting his agility and obedience lessons tomorrow! We will be driving out to Lawrence for a class with Joan Meyer because she is the trainer our vet had a great experience training her dog with. Clovis and I will go every Monday for a couple of weeks, and will continue with more classes after that.
I have attached some pictures to this email (that I hope will open)! Isn't Clovis handsome?! There is one with him near his favorite spot: the air vent! He gets pretty hot in this warm weather. There are also a couple with Meg.
I just wanted to tell you how incredible Clovis is! He is a real blessing in our lives! Thank you so much!
~Mirelle Thomas
PS: Clovis says hi and he loves his new home!! :)

Just wanted to say that this little guy will be in agility training with Joan Meyer & Mirelle Thomas JR handler triunecanine.com/index.html

Crystal,
Sorry I haven't kept you updated a little more. I know how much I like to hear about how our puppies are doing at their new homes, so I'm sure you do too.
Rodeo is doing amazing. He is very much my baby. I was nervous when we were originally talking about getting him because I really prefer to meet puppies before we pick, but I couldn't have asked for a better fit. As we told you before, as soon as he got off the airplane he seemed nervous for about 30 seconds and then started washing my face. The face washes and loving moments have not stopped with him since. He tends to want on my lap from the time I get home from work until the time we go to bed. He wants to be wherever I am. I don't think I've taken a shower without him sitting on the rug blocking me from getting out since we got him, and I always think he's going to jump in the bathtub with me when I take a bath (thank goodness he hasn't - yet!). He "likes" my fiance, Dan, but he definitely "loves" me. Every person and dog is his friend in his mind. In fact he used to get so excited whenever someone talked to him that he would pee all over the place. Luckily that has stopped for the most part. He does not back down to the other dogs when they get after him, but he also does not push them.
Obedience wise, Rodeo does pretty well, but I need to work with him a lot more. He has always come when he is called - even if he doesn't want to leave what he is doing. He sits consistently, but only lays down and stays about half of the time. He does better with the "odd" commands, such as "get off" or "go outside" or "move over" or "watch the house (or truck)" - meaning stay here and be good - than some of the basic ones, which I know is 100% my own fault. Luckily he has never chewed on anything he is not supposed to - even when we first got him.
Up until about 2 weeks ago or so I put him in a cage while we were at work during the day. He is now out all day long and has done fine. We also put in a dog door about a month ago, which made me more comfortable leaving him out all day. As I said, he's never chewed anything, so I was never concerned about that - I just didn't trust him to not potty in the house when he was out all day and had the whole house instead of just his cage. I believe that Rodeo is actually smarter than our other dog (Diesel) when it comes to the dog door, although I don't think Rodeo is smarter that Diesel overall. We bought one of the dog doors that has the piece that attaches to their collars so that only they can use the door and otherwise it is locked. Rodeo is much better at waiting and listening for the door to unlock, and then using his paw to test and make sure it actually unlocked than Diesel, who has run head on into the locked door several times. Rodeo also recognizes that he needs to sit still and close to the door for it to unlock, where as Diesel gets inpatient and moves away, causing it to not unlock anyway.
We do not have any type of fence, but our closest neighbor and the road are at least half a mile away. So far they do not seem to go anywhere but in the tree line right by the house. Hopefully that stays that way, but we are prepared to fence in part of the yard with an electric fence if we have to.
I believe that my Mom also told you that we have not started showing him yet. My fiance's aunt is supposed to come look at him, as she is going to show him (at least in the beginning) for us, but has not yet. I have worked with him some on gating (which he seems to do pretty naturally anyway) and stacking. He still wants to move after I place him sometimes, but he's getting better. I have also always made him let me mess with his mouth and back and feet, and I have had several other people try to also, and he seems to not mind. Mom thinks that his body is not in proportion with his legs right now, but I don't see that as much. I think that his shoulders seem a bit low, but that may just be how he tends to carry his head, as I don't notice it as much when I stack him.
Diesel and Rodeo are the best of friends. They wrestle and do laps around the house as fast as they can all of the time. When they are with all of my moms dogs they still tend to seek out each other to play rather then play with the others.
I have attached a couple of pictures, although none of them are great because the dogs were playing and didn't really want to have their picture taken. Rodeo is smiling in most of them, which he does most of the time anyway - he is a very happy dog. There are two of Rodeo in the driveway watching Diesel (resting before he attacked!) - one standing, one sitting, which are pretty good. There are also a few more that will hopefully collectively give you a good idea of how he is turning out.
Megan
